Hong Kong Travel Itinerary: Part 2

If you haven't read my part 1 of this Hong Kong Itinerary yet, you can check that one out here: Hong Kong Travel Itinerary: Part 1.

Day 2: Star Cruises + Hong Kong Disneyland

Part of every HK trip would definitely be a visit to HK Disneyland.

But before going to the park, we first went to check out the Star Cruise- Pisces. I'll just share some of the photos we got. Again, thanks Tito Jo! 😁 If you want to know more about the cruise, check it out here: Star Cruises .

Around 10 am, we started to make our way to Disneyland. But you can also choose to go there earlier as the park opens at 10:30 am and closes at 8:15 pm.

Before anything else, you might want to download first the following apps:

- MTR Mobile: Trust me, this would be very useful during your whole HK trip! It has a train trip planner, so you can save ahead the recommended routes to your destination, estimated journey time, fare information and also interchange guides. It also provides a map of the exits per station.

-Hong Kong Disneyland app: HK Disneyland is huge! Make use of the app to navigate around the park via its GPS enabled map. You can also know approx. wait times of the attractions, show schedules, character greeting times, and more.

-Ocean Park Hong Kong app: Just like in Disneyland, you can make use of the Ocean Park app to know where to go using its interactive park map. You'll also get details of their attractions, waiting time, show schedules and more.

Also, another tip is to purchase your tickets ahead so as to avoid the long lines at both parks, and also avail of huge discounts! We booked ours via Klook.com, and it was such a hassle-free experience. Just print your e-tickets and head straight to the entrance gates.

Get your tickets here: Hong Kong DisneylandOcean Park Hong Kong

We also booked thru Klook basically everything we needed when we went to Singapore (Universal Studios, Singapore Zoo & River Safari, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Cable Car skypass, Madame Tussauds). So you might want to check that out too. They not only offer tickets to the attractions but also transportation and wifi services that you may need.

So here we are! DISNEYLAND!
It takes about 45 mins by MTR if you're coming from Tsim Sha Tsui.

-From Tsim Sha Tsui station (Tsuen Wan line, red), take 9 stops until you reach Lai King station then interchange to Tung Chung Line (yellow).
-Ride for 2 stops until you reach Sunny Bay Station, then interchange again to Disney Land Resort Line.

First thing you'll notice when you come in are these stalls that sell hats, caps and headbands just to get you started on your Disneyland feeeeels. Haha. You might want to save up a little as these cost 150-200 HKD each. But these look like really cute gifts if you have kids at home so it'll be worth it!

I wouldn't want to spoil the whole experience for you so I won't be posting all of our photos here. I'll just show you some of the highlights of our visit.

There will be plenty of rides to choose from and your kid at heart will definitely be happy! The best adventure for me that day was the ride at the Hyperspace Mountain. It's not the most pleasant ride (if you're not a fan of roller coasters) but it sure was a thrill!

We also went on the Carousel that they had there. A bunch of other up-in-the-air rides like Dumbo.

Download the Hong Kong Disneyland app so you won't miss the opportunity to meet and greet your favorite Disney stars! Besides Groot and Spider-Man, you can also meet Moana, Iron Man, the Disney Princesses, the characters of Up and so much more!

Disneyland parades are not like any other! To see your favorite Disney characters come to life and walk right in front of you is definitely a magical experience! We were able to watch the Flights of Fantasy parade, the Disney Friends Springtime Processional and the Disney Paint the Night Parade that starts at 8pm.

Also, make sure to watch the Legend of the Lion King show. Please, do yourself a favor and don't ever miss this!

You might want to eat up before going and bring your own water bottle. The food there is pricey and you're better off spending your money for pasalubong or a souvenir. Food in photos: mickey mouse pancake, minnie mouse ice cream, chicken and fries at the Iron Man restaurant. 😀

It was such a long day of walking, riding, but definitely a whole lot of fun!
Take your pictures at this area when it's late in the afternoon after the Springtime Processional. Not a lot of people are there since it's too hot/sunny.

Overall, my Disneyland experience was the most memorable one.
Talk about a dream come true!

I was really planning on including the Peak Tram and Ocean Park (day 3) itinerary here.
But I'm not a fan of lengthy posts so I'll just leave that to a Part 3.

Keep posted!
Don't forget to leave your questions or suggestions in the comments section. I'd really appreciate that.

Love,
Lora ❤

Am I a toxic person?: How to practice mindfulness

So a couple of weeks back, I asked some of my followers on what topic they'd like me to write about and one of the questions I got was this: "How do I know if I'm a toxic person? How can I avoid being toxic?" I found it interesting because a lot of people don't ever ask themselves that question. Often times we're looking for "how to deal with toxic people" but not so much about "how can I avoid being a toxic person" . So how do you know if you're a toxic person? Well to start off, what do we mean by "toxic person" ? Here's a list of some common signs : 1. They try to control you by guilt tripping . Common phrases most probably used is "Uy sis, favor. Cge na. Friends bitaw ta.", e ven though they know that what they're asking you to do is probably inconvenient or annoying for you. They can't take "no" and instead say things like "I've done so much for you a

Skincare Products & Tips for Acne-prone Skin

If there's one thing that has been affecting my confidence lately, it's probably my trouble with acne every now and then. I've been going back and forth with this acne problem for a year now , so I thought I might as well share with you some of the things I learned in this journey and some of the products that actually worked for me. Recent photo wearing make up. Notice the bumps on my cheeks 😐 This is intended for those who have just started getting a sudden surge of pimples and eventually, acne. It can be frustrating to see these tiny dots on your face when you've been so used to that clear, unblemished skin. Trust me, I had such clear skin before! But then life happens, and stress + pollution happens too. 😂 Don't let it get to you, though! Don't mind those people who have nothing to say but "uy, gibugas lagi ka" or "na unsa man na imong nawong? di ba hamis man na sauna?" . As if you don't look at the mirror and see th
