Style Inspo: What to wear around Campus

Classes just started for most of you and I know how the past few weeks feel like forever already! Trust me, I've been there. You keep wondering how you'll ever make it 'til the end of the semester. 😨 Right?

But here's my advice: enjoy the time that you're in school because "adulting" will be 10x harder, without any breaks. So make this a time for you to "practice" how to balance your work and social life. Get yourself out there and discover other talents and interests.
Don't let your schooling interfere with your education. Fill your college years with meaningful and unforgettable experiences.
As an accountancy student back then, even with the little time left for extra activities, I still tried my best to explore other avenues. I joined various organizations, school plays & presentations, outreach activities, and so much more. And being my natural, fashionista self, I never missed the opportunity to make every outfit count for all those activities! Hahaha. Even on ordinary days, wearing a good outfit always made me feel more comfortable and confident. I just thought I might share with you some style inspiration on what to wear around campus:

1. Manic Mules + Monochrome Mondays
Goodbye manic Mondays! Don't let a busy day stop you from looking like you've got everything under control.

Show them who's boss! Do it like @itsmeicapucanan .
Mules are so in trend this season!

Look chic even on a Monday!
Take some inspiration from @lichellevillafania 's outfit.

Look calm and collected just like what @_vmvv did here!

Stay in the neutral tones and slay that busy Monday.
@donszxc and @minedeaniel make it look so easy, oh!

2. Terrible Trendy Tuesdays
Nothing is worse than knowing you're still on the third day of the week. Perk it up by wearing something new and trendy!

In case you missed it, there's a thing called 'athleisure' and it's a trend that's here to stay for 2018. It's basically blending your workout clothes into your casual outfits for work, school and even night outs.

Left: @itskenric showing you how it's done!

And no, you don't need to break the bank to achieve this look. Kenric's secret? Thrift shopping. You can't even tell, right? 😉

Here's more inspiration from @donszxc and @itskenric

Another trend this season (that also goes well with 'athleisure') is the comeback of the fanny pack or belt bag. There's so much to love about these nostalgic pieces-- style and function in one, and you can go hands-free! Wear it around your waist or even hang it around your shoulder just like @ijeffreyc (left) and @pattylenlorenz (right) over here.

3. Wasted White + Wrapped-up Wednesdays
Sometimes it gets crazy on mid-week and you wouldn't want to fall apart. So wrap yourself around these outfit ideas!

Right: edgy look by @donszxc wearing her Gap shirt

Tired of thinking which colors would match? Just go ahead and just wear a white shirt instead! But... not the plain one. If there's another trend that's making a comeback this season, it's the Logo-mania. I think the term says it all. Wear that Gucci, GAP, Guess, Moschino, Tommy Hilfiger brand right across your shirt. 😉

Most of the school days usually fall on the rainy months of the year. So stay dry and fashionable wearing your windbreakers, parkas, hoodies and sweaters!

Turn that comfy sweater look into a chic ensemble just by putting on a pair of pretty boots!
Check out @_vmvv !

Go from a denim jacket or a bomber jacket just like @itsgaldh.
Whichever feels perfect for your outfit!

4. Toxic Tailored and tattered Thursdays
The day before Friday always feels like the longest, most difficult day to get by. But stop feeling toxic and just wear something comfortable like your pair of jeans.

Twinning?
Just goes to show that jeans really are a fashion staple. And a pair of white sneakers too!

This is definitely my kind of Thursday outfit. Photo by @iamjrcogtas

If you want to go subtle with the tatter, take some style cues from @ijeffreyc 's jeans.

If tattered jeans aren't your thing, then go for tailored jeans instead. Just the right fit (not baggy or too tight), and making you look sleek and dapper in an instant. These guys (@ijeffreyc and @pattylenlorenz) definitely know their style. 👍

5. Freaky Free-day Fridays
Finally! The day you've been waiting for! And since you'll have a lot of plans for the weekend, wear something fun and free (just how we like our Fridays).

It's a season for plaids! Try and play around this versatile print just like these three!

Another 10/10 outfit by @ijeffreyc .

And how about a look that you can take straight to your Friday night out?

6. Sad Sassy Saturdays
No one enjoys Saturday classes. But if you've got no choice, then might as well turn the whole thing around by wearing something sassy!

One of my favorites for her travel photos and vlogs, @cristinegem_ looks sassy as always!

*how you should look like when a groupmate is late for the meeting.*
hahaha jk! But don't you just love this look by @_vmvv ?

and this one too! 😍

College life can be tough and challenging. There will be so much pressure surrounding you, charging from all sides! But I tell you, just keep pressing forward and enjoy it while it lasts.  Learn as much as you can, both inside and outside the classroom.

Last tip! ❤

On days when it feels a little gloomy and dull, it's always a great idea to just bring your own sparkle. (taking inspiration from @itskenric 😘).

By the way: In Silliman University, where I graduated, most courses do not require a uniform (such as the Accountancy course) and it has more of a relaxed dress code policy compared to most universities that I know. Just thought I should share this in case you'll be wondering about some of the outfit choices. 😁😁

So... until my next post!

Love,
Lora 💋

Am I a toxic person?: How to practice mindfulness

So a couple of weeks back, I asked some of my followers on what topic they'd like me to write about and one of the questions I got was this: "How do I know if I'm a toxic person? How can I avoid being toxic?" I found it interesting because a lot of people don't ever ask themselves that question. Often times we're looking for "how to deal with toxic people" but not so much about "how can I avoid being a toxic person" . So how do you know if you're a toxic person? Well to start off, what do we mean by "toxic person" ? Here's a list of some common signs : 1. They try to control you by guilt tripping . Common phrases most probably used is "Uy sis, favor. Cge na. Friends bitaw ta.", e ven though they know that what they're asking you to do is probably inconvenient or annoying for you. They can't take "no" and instead say things like "I've done so much for you a

Skincare Products & Tips for Acne-prone Skin

If there's one thing that has been affecting my confidence lately, it's probably my trouble with acne every now and then. I've been going back and forth with this acne problem for a year now , so I thought I might as well share with you some of the things I learned in this journey and some of the products that actually worked for me. Recent photo wearing make up. Notice the bumps on my cheeks 😐 This is intended for those who have just started getting a sudden surge of pimples and eventually, acne. It can be frustrating to see these tiny dots on your face when you've been so used to that clear, unblemished skin. Trust me, I had such clear skin before! But then life happens, and stress + pollution happens too. 😂 Don't let it get to you, though! Don't mind those people who have nothing to say but "uy, gibugas lagi ka" or "na unsa man na imong nawong? di ba hamis man na sauna?" . As if you don't look at the mirror and see th
